I know, if its good enough for Bilbo is good enough for anyone- an outdoor event. I was thinking Dave's old turnip field. Should be able to get it for next to nothing seeing as its mainly mud and manure now.

I once went to a wedding in Wyoming that was held out in a field. No manure, but the groom's party rode in on horseback and the bride's party came in a horse-drawn wagon.

Then the reception was in a bar.

It was actually really cool. Probably my favorite wedding I've been to. Either that or the giant Italian wedding held in a medieval church (to go to the opposite end of the wedding spectrum ).
