GMGTW is set some time after the end of Rebel Flesh.

- During the conversation that Madame Korvarian has with Dorian the blue guy they tell you how long its been -when Dorian is taking about the Doctor calling in old favours. As to why Rory is dressed as a Centurian or the relevance of the speech Amy gives to baby Melody at the start you really have to have seen at the very least the final two episodes of series 5- I'd recommend though watching series five from at least the silurian two-parter-hungry earth/cold blood for the finale to make any kind of sense, particularly concerning Rory.

- Day of the moon. When those Ood look-a-likes says something like "silence will fall", we see a series of flashbacks to other aliens (and Rory) mentioning the silence. And it seemed to me like it was the doctor's flashbacks. Which makes no sense since he as not seen these things yet.

- I'm not sure Amarie why you think he hasnt seen those things- if memory serves they are all flashbacks from series 5 which has already happened.
Interview with Sylvester Mccoy and Sophia Aldridge (Doctor 7 and his Companion Ace) its mainly a Who interview but apprently contains some mention of TH too (havent watched it yet to find out what).

- I think I see the confusion now Amarie- the Doctor who gets shot in Impossible Astronaut is 1000 and something years old or whatever he tells them on the beach-the Doctor they meet in the diner is their normal timeline verion who is 900 and something. The scenes he flashbacks are all in the past, for either version in fact.

I was just thinking the exact same thing Norc, its like entering Spoiler Ghost Town, its spooky.
I suggest you start at the beginning of the New Doctor Who episodes with the 9th Doctor Christopher Eccleston, as you will find he is not only the best Doctor Who ever, but also the most handsome and interesting, but no doubt Petty will tell you to start with the 11th Doctor, some kid called Matt Smith. (((dont listen to him))) I dont know the name of the first episode but its best to start with the 9th Doctor to get a feel for it, see if you like it, and want to continue, but if you start at the 11th doctor as Petty will suggest, you are missing the best bits, so take my advice and you will never regret it. all the episodes are no doubt listed in Wikkipaedia.

Oh you should! You should! (And it will give you something cool to watch while waiting for Sherlock...) You could start with the very beginning and watch the classic dr.Who that Petty posts. (Very old stuff. Haven't started seeing them myself yet.)
Don't start witht the 11th doctor! That would be silly. The moders series starts with Eccleston as the Doctor, "The Christmas Invasion". I am sure Petty will be of assistance shortly to provide links and such. I do adore him for doing that!

Sadly it seems the BBC have been on one of their regular purging rounds of Doctor Who- however never fear I still managed to track down the first episode in the relaunched Who - just had to go a bit offroad to find it.
As always when going to sites I dont know do be careful- make sure you have ad blocks and all that- I watched it fine with no problems. And if you do have any problems, well you can always "Run! Run for your life!"
