God Complex is the minataur one- classic baddie from the classic era. With the hotel/prison-
Yup Tin The Lodger and Closing Time remain popular episodes, Craig seems to have struck a cord as a character with fans- except Mrs Figg, obviously.

Both those episodes are all about the Doctor's state of mind- I love the end of the minatour one
On another tangent this makes me smile (now)
During the original telvised run of series 5 the BBC accidently ran a trailer for the Graham Norton Show right over the climatic cliffhanger to the first part of the Angels story.
The Offense
The Reaction (over 5000 complaints and this wonderful expletive including rant from TV critic Charlie Brooker)
And the response.

- when its lying dying and talking about all the years of pain and suffering and that it is time for it to end- and then the Doctor realises its not talking about itself, but about him- wonderful moment. Also thought the nurse character, the Muslim girl, was a good one and the extra guilt it built in the Doctor as the dead bodies layed out in the dining room continued to grow no matter what he did

God complex gets my prize for comedy wild boar costume, and running about aimlessly. and Closing Time gets my award for irritating screaming kid, with a gold medal for "too many pies/bursts his Cyberman." It should be serious but its beyond trite and cheesy. If this wins awards the competition must be dire.

God Complex has some wonderful moments in it for me, the room of giggling ventrilquist dolls could be straight out of the 4th Doctor run. The comedic lines for the guy from the race of cowards is very funny;
Or the entire stuff with the muslim nurse, but especially its ending-
And the beautiful little scene with Amy/Amelia in her room, Smith is superb in that scene-
And how can you not like the way the minataurs final words are about the Doctor?
These two episodes are the

and the Doctors brilliant interpretation of Gibbs race that suddenly makes you see him in a whole new light;

The Doctor: An ancient creature, drenched in the blood of the innocents. Drifting in space through an endless shifting maze. Such a creature, death would be a gift. Then accept it. And sleep well. {he pauses} I wasn't talking about myself.
These two episodes are the

- final bits in the Silences plan to bring the Doctor to the conclusion its time for him to die, its time to stop running and just gve up. God Complex is the episode he chooses to do that and go on his farewell tour, Closing Time is the episode where he decides to not just give up without at least a fight. Craig is the only friend the Doctor has left to turn to at this point. He can't go to previous folks, he never looks back, Craig is the only person he doesn't feel responsible for, or guilty for and who has no expectations of him.

It might not just be you Mrs Figg, but its not most folks I reckon. Not judgng by viewing figures, DVD sales, episode downloads and critical acclaim anyway.
How you could not be moved at scenes like this which are the emotional climax of nearly two years of tv I don't know.
And I like the suit. Much better than some cgi thing like the werewolf in the Tennant one. And it certainly looks a hell of a lot better than the classic series ones in Horns of Nimon.

We saw The doctor's wife (peculiar title), The rebel flesh and The Almost People today. Rory!!
Thought we'd go back to season 4 and meet River, since Finrod hasn't seen... well, any dr Who before this, and I still haven't see the ending of Forest of the dead (thank you VERY much BBC entertainment!!). If we can find them that is.

Well I insist you watch it before you proceed one episode further. All the River episodes with the 11th Doctor kind of assume you have seen these episodes!
I too failed to turn up anywhere you can watch it online (must be one ofthe BBC's regular purging of Who periods) but I can't leave you in such limbo Amarie so I am uploading the episode to my skydrive for you.
Moffat likes a provocative episode title- Doctors Wife, Lets Kill Hitler, The God Complex.
Well I insist you watch it before you proceed one episode further. All the River episodes with the 11th Doctor kind of assume you have seen these episodes!

Just Forest of the Dead at the moment its 90 % uploaded- I am really tight for space but if there is room I will upload Silence too- if there isn't room you will need to download Forest first so I can delete it and replace it with Silence.

- The shoe thing is typical Moffat misdirection. He gets you to focus on that so you miss the big one- the Amy double. Works a treat- well it got me anyway, I never saw it coming.

I'll get on it when I get home from work, was way past midnight when I posted my last post so I haven't had the time to do anything about it.
Also we saw that Tennat episode with the bus in the desert and Lady Catherine cat burglar (since we didn't find Silence and Finrod had already fetched a new bowl of chips or crisp or whatever you call it.
) What an embarrassing ending! Thank Eru for the time rift!

- I always expect something unexpected to happen at the very end. That's when the clues are given or when we realize we have been given a clue without really noticing.

Sorry Amarie- I couldnt fit both episodes on the skydrive- but I am going to have to set up somehthing else for the remainder of my edits anyway so will see what I can do- best planin short term is download forest episode- let me know when you have it and I will delete it to make space for the other episode.
