Re: I Cannot Rest
I ALWAYS cry at Boromirs death and Gandalfs 'death' when they are all sat outside and I see Frodos little face. and I cry at the Coronation scene and I cry when Frodo wakes up in Minas Tirith after he had destroyed the Ring, just looking at Gandalfs smiling happy face makes me cry. and I cry at Theodens death too. Its probably the only film that makes me cry so much.

Re: I Cannot Rest
Go to admit watching PJ's films always makes me cry, but for entirely different reasons.

When Gandalf is talking to Pippin about the afterlife, when Sam thinks hes about to die and starts talking about Rossie Cotton at the end The shot outside Moria where Merry has Pippin in his arms after Gandalf died, pretty much the end of ROTK too gets me teary

Re: I Cannot Rest
There were some scenes that affected me for both the right reasons and the wrong. Overall though I feel an awesome sadness that a great opportunity was greatly squandered. I was just watching the first part of disc 2 of The Two Towers. I cringed, and cringed, and cringed again...

Re: I Cannot Rest
Nothing in LOTR ever really made me cry until the end of ROTK. Never cried, but I REALLY wanted to. And reading the end of ROTK, I always got so sad when everyone died and/or left middle earth. They're gone, and they'll never be together again. That feeling was applied to the moment that Minas Tirith turns into a map after Aragorns coronation in the film. When I first saw it in 3rd grade, I was so angry because I thought that they had all just forgotten each other and didn't understand why the fellowship didn't want to stick together. The older I get, the more I understand it
And on a side note, from a couple pages before when the whole corsairs discussion was going on, at least PJ gets shot in that scene. That had to make up for something, right Petty?

I still feel sad at that moment you mention Tin, when Minas Tirith turns into a map, its a powerful sense of loss that I get. Thats why I love LOTR so much, no other film has ever made me feel so much.

hehehehe....you've got a cruel touch, Ally!
(I think I cried during first viewing RoTK, probably during the multi-species homo-erotic 'Frodo's still alive' scene near the end).

Re: I Cannot Rest
Look, I admit I cried during it. But as a bloke I'm uncomfortable with that fact. If I was with some sweetie who was touched by my tenderness and we went back and made mad love as a result, it would have been worth it. But I was alone and the thought of the whole incident makes me feel very vulnerable right now so I'm gonna leave work and chugg some brewskies and watch some demolition derby and maybe a Stallone movie or two until I forget the whole thing.

Re: I Cannot Rest
Quite wise Halfwise- especially the drinking bit.
But I fear you have done two shameful things, same as Eldo, one was crying and the other was admitting it.
