Elrond doesnt read out the Ring verse in the book even, why would he in the film? The full Ring verse is not in PJ's films anywhere.

OMG, seriously, the split between disk 1/2 on ROTK EE is retarded

I like how in the writer's commentary at the start of ROTK-EE disc 2, PJ suggests turning off the movie and going to bed since it's so long.

It's in the middle of the Siege of Gondor as the orcs are chanting "Grond!" Right after the break we see Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli facing off against the Corsairs.

It use to annoy me because it meant that I had to switch discs even if I only wanted to watch the battle scenes. I don't really see a problem with it now though.

I'm not sure we watched the same scene. The Dead did pretty much the same thing in the book, and unlike the Pelennor scenes, the Dead in the movies are not shown killing anyone (which is true to the book). The only real difference is the complete absence of Gondorians from the scene. As for PJ's cameo, only a dedicated fan would even recognize him. I don't get the complaints about that.

The dialogue in that scene was pretty bad though; I'd agree to that.

Hey! That is not true.
If PJ produces an adaptation of the book, without making up say more than 10% of it himself and sticks to telling the simple tale of Bilbo and the dwarves on their quest I will happily praise PJ to the hilt, to the whole world, I'll go starkers and shout about how good it is from the rooftops (I know theres no real reason to do that starkers but one should never pass up an opportunity!)- its not my fault we all know thats not what PJ is producing though.
