I cant be arsed trawling back through the million pages of Who thread for the evidence, but I do remember arguing this with you on more than one previous occasion, unless of course I was arguing with myself (that does happen)  Mad

He's just started filming the first, there are rumours about a easter special, but Moffat has indicated August-October for the season 8 premiere.

I'm actually looking foreward to it. I never really got too much into Tennant and Smith --- liked Ecclestone. I'm hoping Capaldui will bring a bit of grumpiness and genuine gravitas --- and hopefully a pretty young thing as Companion who he can be a protective 'Uncle' figure to. A younger girl, maybe, willful, stubborn and in you face (but in an old fashioned way, not your modern foul-mouthed Norc-in-your-face way). Maybe they could play with a regret that he never had children! You know, she could be a young Mrs Figg type who drives every Father nuts. She could be a romantic, and a little naive (because she's young!), and feisty, but not romantically entwined with the Doctor at all. That idea is getting a little (a lot!) boring, what. Anyway, I hope Moffat's reading this.

I just watched the Christmas special. I enjoyed it a lot more than the 50th anniversary special. It was a little sad to see Matt go, and I'd lie if I said I didn't shed a few tears (but I did not sob uncontrollably Rolling Eyes ). Sure the plots and stories were getting a bit much for me, but that doesn't mean that I didn't enjoy Matt Smith's work on the show. I thought he was a great Doctor.

I've never understood "reaction" videos. Is it all about living vicariously? I immediately think of those idiot Fine bros. on youtube (making money off of the deaths in the Newtown school shooting), and those "happyhobbit" girls and their stupid squealings at the DOS trailer.

I agree Bungo, screaming fangirls are irritating, plus its boring to watch. The only time I thought it was funny was for the Red Wedding, that was hilarious.

Reaction vids vary- some of the above are more hysterical than others, some more genuine than others- I enjoy seeing other peoples reactions. I often find them entertaining and kids being engaged in Who always brings a warm glow to my heart and a sense of hope for the future.

Talking Who and kids- Lindalee gives her 5year olds episode recap and opinion on Time of the Doctor (I am really tempted to place a bet she will be showrunner in 20 years time!)-

There are a series of threads- usually one or two per episode from since Moffat took over (the thread always have mirror in the title so you can just search for mirror in each episode thread), over on Gallifrey Base by one Janie23.

She looks for hidden meanings, metaphorical links to do with the reoccurring themes in Moffat Who of duality, mirroring, religion, and I find her views, even when I dont always agree with her links or analysis, fascinating and a great read (its also making me reconsider how I have been viewing Clara in particular)-

heres the link to her analysis along these themes of Time of the Doctor- (although you may have to register to view, not sure)

Well its better than the 1st Doctors attempt where he says its the same as a tv in a small room showing a picture of a big building!

This one of my favourite Smith tribute vids so far- may are poignant, many are sad, and whilst 11's run was overhung with his doom throughout it was also very funny and lively, and this captures that side to Matts turn as the Doctor better than most-

Haha, well.  Laughing

It's from the beggining of Robots of Death actually. I just watched it and it was very good.

I was particularily impressed by the effects as I don't think I cringed once even though it has lots of model shots and was probably made on a shoestring.

So plaudits to whoever directed it.  Nod
