Doctor Who

2 hours a week it would work out as Amarie- I figure 4 episodes as in classic Who one story can last an entire series and it would otherwise take a very long time to get through some great story's like War Games.

I say go for it, I'll tag along as well as I can. What sayeth the other Whovians?

Sounds good to me, if we all tagging along to talk about them it'll be fun!

Congrats to Matt and Karen who won the Outstanding Drama Performance Awards for male and female respectively at the National Television Awards tonight. The NTA's are voted on by the public so tend to be more coveted than industry awards.


Sadly however Matt Smith said afterwards to the Radio Times that he has one more year of Doctor Who left and then he was going to try his luck in Hollywood. It seems too soon! Ok it'll be three series and three xmas specials and thats about the norm for a Doctor but I was really hoping he would do a Tom Baker and give us more like 7 years!



Havent been able to find Matt winning his yet.

If Smith does leave at the end of this season then he will have done:

42 episodes,1 Children in Need special, and 3 mini episodes.

Tennant, the longest serving of the Nuwho Doctors and the second longest serving of them all did:

45 episodes, 1 Children in Need special, +2 specials.

So I suppose Smith will have done his time- its just he is soo good. Not going to have felt this bad about a Doctor going since Tom Baker.

Interestingly The Sun are saying the exact opposite of the previous claim about Smith leaving-

And on co-star Karen quitting, he added: "I am sad because I enjoy working with Karen but this show is bigger than all of us actors."
But he reassured fans, saying: "I am here for the future."

I do hope so!

To celebrate Karen's win I tried uploading the video that the BBC banned- this time to daily motion- see if it lasts a little longer this time-probably not.
Contains spoilers for the episode The Girl Who Waited. But this is why she got an award. (I did however cock up the end of it I've just noticed- forgot to take the audio auto fade off so instead of peaking at an emotional crescendo it fades out! )

Does that vid work this time? I cant tell as the last one still plays for me not for folks abroad and who are strange and foreign!

Brilliant! ... We could go back to a more amiable kind of Dr and you could be my dutiful, but feisty assistant. And away with all the romantic stuff. These new Dr's and their sexual frisson with their girls. Ridiculous. More science less sex, more gadgets less Gidgets, what!
