I keep meaning to watch the Day the Earth Stood Still, but now seeing how Noirish it is I finally got around to adding it to my netflix queue.

Holy crap, that's a cake?! I suppose they entered by photo, 'cause that bitch ain't moving.
Come to think of it, I don't think it can be sliced. That 'frosting' must be hard as a rock to hold together. Or be around a metal mesh framework.
No, sorry, can't be a cake. Can't be.

The thing the figure is standing on could be a cake, but why the heck would it be sitting on the floor? I call bullshit.

Search for cake sculpting on YouTube and there's a whole ton of stuff that comes up, albeit not as elaborate as that angel.

So a clay is made of cake and frosting rolled together. Ha. Wonder what that's like to eat. They didn't say what the skin was made of.
It was funny, when she was introducing the segment I was thinking "that looks like City Hall Park!", and it was.

Re: Just...................whatever [8]
It's meant to be Maleficent from the recent live-action film, not an angel. By the by wasn't that movie quite unpleasant? In a pivotal scene, her now-grown child-hood friend drugged her and then cut her wings off. She wakes up and we're exposed to her weeping over the bloody stumps. Geeeeeeeeeeez Disney, what's with the drug-rape allegories in a kids movie?

Re: Just...................whatever [8]
It was dark but not darker than many fairy tales. It's just that Disney usually trims and candy-coats the old fairy tales. Somehow this new one slipped through.

Re: Just...................whatever [8]
With a chainsaw?
Not much of a baker myself, but as impressive as this is, I can't help but feel it's a bit of a waste of ingredients, icing/frosting is fine in small amounts on cake i.m.o, but I fear it would rather overpower the taste of the actually cake, and it seems a shame to even cut this up with all the time that went into it, cake is meant to be eaten, not looked at...this again in my house we look at the cake and then almost immediately eat it anyway

Always happy to have more Forumshire people on Facebook. If anyone goes looking for Malick through my friends list, though, just know that my profile is now under the name Ellie rather than Jacob.
