Say Hello!

I note we have new members. No doubt the result of Admins new initiatives.
However sometimes new folks can seem a bit reluctant to say boo to a goose, as it were.
So this is a place to say hello if you dont feel brave enough to jump straight into a thread.
Things might seem a bit like a private club around here- and thats because it is, but in a good way. Its not the sort of club that keeps people out but the sort which warmly welcomes you in. And we never bite, although everyone enjoys a good bark every so often.

So do say hello and welcome all!

This tends to be rule-less place. No wonder not many come here. If it was more respectable and rule-driven here in Forumshire maybe hordes of right-thinking folk might come visit... Alas, I doubt it will happen... Any Newbees, beware --- this is not a Respectable Forum!

I could create a special set of rules just for you, Odo, if they're that important to you.

Well there is Leadbelly- who has been popping in and out for I think about a month but has never posted- do say hello Leadbelly- and most recent is Springstar, lovely name, who is our newest member and likewise has yet to post.
Maybe Eldo's cat has got their tongue?

Mentioning cats reminds me we lost our Catchat Thread too --- blasted Dark Planet!!!

I am a boat person a survivor of the exodus of Elves who decided to leave Lothlorien and sail across the Sundering Seas to better pastures! Two of my companions in the exodus was Amroth and Nimrodel

We had a bit of a drama during our journey to Belfalas Bay, Nimrodel and Amroth got separated and a search party spent a week looking for Nimrodel without success and another two days comforting Amroth which did not make him feel any better.

The party eventually made it to Belfalas Bay and after bargaining and bartering a compromise was made with the shipmasters for the only sea-worthy ship on offer.

We all decided that the sooner we set sail the better it would be for everyone on board as the summer season was high and the likelihood of stormy weathers occurring now was looking more remote. Amroth got very upset and insisted we wait a few more days. Which we did, but summer passed and Autumn came and no Nimrodel.

To cut a long story short a storm arose one night and tore our ship(named the Springstar) from its moorings and tossed it out to sea. When we woke in the morning we knew we were well on our way to a new beginning. Amroth did not think so, he decided to jump ship.

I have sailed to different ports under different names. For now the Springstar is currently anchored at:

Welcome to the forum, springstar! I hope you enjoy your time here, we're close-knit but we've all gone through the process of being new ourselves. Except GB, since he's older than everyone else.
