Re: Just...................whatever [3]
Me too Eldo.. not sure why that is.
Apparently we are going to get battered by a storm late Sunday/Monday. Some say the biggest since 1987 which I only remember vague bits about but the generation above me always refer to the storms of '87 when comparing inclement weather.

Thanks Norc. It's nice to be feel happy. And I might be able to get my old job at the bookstore back; I had an interview with them today and it went really well.
Re: Just...................whatever [3]
Come and have an interview with me... we have a job going in my team that I have interviewed lots of people for and they have been pretty rubbish so far!!
Re: Just...................whatever [3]
First time I have plugged my new guitar in since I got it a few weeks back. Also starting to work out how to use my effects pedal... got it sounds like a bass guitar to add a little bit of depth in there.
Re: Just...................whatever [3]
Wind is picking up.... looks like we will miss the worst of it according to the forecasts (says 35mph winds Monday morning).
Think the country will only just see winds hitting hurricane speeds so not exactly Sandy version 2.

what does the job entail? if it involves maths I count on my fingers, is that allowed?Lancebloke wrote:Come and have an interview with me... we have a job going in my team that I have interviewed lots of people for and they have been pretty rubbish so far!!

It involves numbers. Not sure you have enough fingers to count them all.Mrs Figg wrote:what does the job entail? if it involves maths I count on my fingers, is that allowed?Lancebloke wrote:Come and have an interview with me... we have a job going in my team that I have interviewed lots of people for and they have been pretty rubbish so far!!

You should do something special to mark you entrance into the 10K Club, Mrs Figg! It's a major milestone on any forum.

I was supposed to be working at home anyway. The tower gets very wobbly in the wind... people get sick from it.
Re: Just...................whatever [3]
thats a relief, a wobbly tower in 150mile per hour winds, not good.

Re: Just...................whatever [3]
why? that doesnt sound right. In my neck of the Woods buildings only wobble because of the beer goggles. the pavement also comes up to say hi.

Re: Just...................whatever [3]
My understanding is that tall buildings are going to get blown around by the wind no matter what, so architects have to factor that in. If you try to make a building that's over a thousand feet tall rigid, it's more likely to crack and fall apart under the stress from the wind. Whereas if you design it to sway around, it can handle the stress and will be fine, even if it's pretty unnerving the first time you feel it.

i forgot to reply to this when i first heard it. Did u make the music yourself? i found it really good, very relaxing i got my dad to listen too, he thought it was good, and he's a musician so you should be pretty proud ^^Lancebloke wrote:First time I have plugged my new guitar in since I got it a few weeks back.
