Great vid :DExcellent editing, fit well with the Inception theme as well :)It didn't feel good at all when he spoke to Marie that last time, you didn't want it him to go, but you knew that he wouldn't be coming home. Must've been hell to wait a whole week for the next episode after that.
- Spoiler:
- I remember when Hank cuffed Walt, I was so happy. I was really rooting for Hank in the last half of season 5. But I knew, because of the flash-forward, that Walt would get out of it. Jack and his men were coming, Hank was going to die, but my brain didn't want to register that fact. The wait between the episodes To'hajiilee and Ozymandias was the worst. Ozymandias was the climax of the entire series with Granite State and Felina typing up the loose ends.
I'm trying so hard to remember in what episode this happens, but I remember Hank giving Walt Jr. a book that was about the men who investigated and caught a well-known criminal. Walt Jr. says that Hank told him that not many people knew the workers behind the investigation, but that more should (or something to that extent). I am so glad we got to see the people behind the investigation of Walt (mainly Hank), and the fact that they were related just compounded the drama exponentially.
Edit: I found it. Season 3 Episode 8: I See You http://breakingbad.wikia.com/wiki/I_See_You

Re: Breaking Bad!
Great news on the Better Call Saul front. It will be a prequel, episodes will be hour-long, shot in the ABQ and "and maintain the visual palette of Breaking Bad." Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul are expected to make cameo appearances. Debut is expected late summer/early fall 2014.

Mike might also be a part of the series. (I don't see how they could do a Saul show without Mike.)

Re: Breaking Bad!
Good news indeed! A 2014 premiere is sooner than I thought, but I'm not sad about it either Also looks like there could be more than one season, which is great. That is provided the first season is any good, of course, but with Saul Goodman as the main character I can't see why it shouldn't be

Re: Breaking Bad!
I don't think we know who is going to be on the writing team just yet. But Vince will be in the writing room for (at least) the entire first season, and the guy who created Saul's character (Peter Gould) is also involved. I'm just nervous for when Vince leaves the project to do his own thing.Recoveryanonymous wrote:Are the writers the same?Ringdrotten wrote:Good news indeed! Re: Breaking Bad!
I just assumed the writers would be the same, but perhaps they won't. I hope at least some of the writers who worked on BB and Saul Goodman's dialogue will stay. The actor is excellent, but he needs an equally excellent script for Saul to be what he was in Breaking Bad.

Re: Breaking Bad!
- Felina Spoilers:
- I want to briefly mention the framing of a shot that I particularly liked (and stood out to me) in the finale. As Walt talks with Skyler for the last time (right before he admits that all he did was for himself) there's this wonderful framing which places Skyler in one entryway to the kitchen and Walt in the other. I found it odd that there were two entryway's to the kitchen (having grown up in a house that had an entryway to the dining room that was about the same size). But I think that this is a great visual representation to the divison that Walt has brought upon to his family. Because of his actions he is separated (isolated) form his wife, son, and daughter. He could never be a part of their lives again.

Love the themes, by the way, Negro y Azul is awesome
Didn't think of that when I was watching it myself, but that's a nice observationbungobaggins wrote:

Re: Breaking Bad!
By the way, on the UK Netflix there's a show called "Talking Bad", that's basically a talk show where they talk about Breaking Bad, and the different actors make appearances as well. I've not checked it out myself yet, but here's a clip from youtube:
It looks good, and I'll check it out I think. Don't know if it's available on US netflix, but the Hola Unblocker app I mentioned in another thread will fix that for your in a couple of minutes

Re: Breaking Bad!
I've watched a couple episodes of Talking Bad on youtube (they're not available on US Netflix ). I think I saw the ones for Ozymandias and Felina (really sad watching this, especially right after the finale (You know, I've never bawled my eyes out over a tv show before. Thanks, Breaking Bad. )). It's too bad they only had it for the second half of season 5. I'll have to see if I can find the others somewhere. Maybe they're on youtube.

Hmmm, Ringo I looked up the Hola Unblocker add-on for Firefox and the most recent reviewers are saying it installs adware. I'd try it, but I'm a little wary of that.

Re: Breaking Bad!
I've not noticed any of that, though it might be true. I was forced to install it since neither Norwegian nor US netflix had part 2 of season 5 up. You see, I had no choice

Re: Breaking Bad!
Me too, Ringo.
Whenever I get sad about it, I just remind myself that they went out on a high note. Just think, if Breaking Bad had overstayed it's welcome, the series finale could have been as bad as the Dexter series finale.

Re: Breaking Bad!
Haven't seen Dexter, but I too am glad they didn't go on for too long and ruin it. It certainly is a very bittersweet gladness, however
