That sucks, Petty - does this mean the end of NotP, or will it reappear sometime in the future (*crosses fingers*)? And what about the edits and your programs - they're gone too?

Forgive me, that was an extremely selfish post, now that I read it again - you must have lost tons of personal stuff as well, not only forumshire and lotr material. I hope you had back-ups for most of it.

No worries Ringdrotten-I got most of it, once stuff started going corrupt I got trasferred off, most of my art stuff and render stuff, all my writing, it was just the stuff in the already corrupted parts I lost- sadly that included about 80% of the NotP (and eventually the bit with Windows in it!).

The good news is some of it, including all the actual issues, are on my photobucket, what Im mainly missing are the original pictures used in issues, all the avatars for everyone (although I can get them again of course, its just a pain in the arse, and having a pain in the arse makes me crabbit  ), and most importantly the basic bits- the ready laid out pages with banners and stuff, all of which will need to be remade.
But it was probably about time it got a revamp anyway.

So dont fear Ringdrotten the NotP will return- they have at least one wedding to cover.

I seem to have lost forum icons!!!
Half the smilies dont show up- no latest post icon to click on (meaning I have to go the last page and scroll down to it wasting several seconds when I could be drinking!  
And I had to use that smilie cause the crabbit one isnt there!!!!

Anyone know what the problem is or had similar trouble? Ive tried a restart of the laptop but no difference)

and i've never used the latest post button, i discovered it yesterday.

Noticed the pictures don't go strait on any more. You don't see them until you send or preview.

That stopped working on mine too Chris- noticed it when putting up vids they only appeared when I edited a post- otherwise just the code.

srsly.. works fine to me. although try click the code thing off/on and see if it gets better (the little sheet-of-paper-icon next to the clock)

Toggling in or out of the WYWIWYG editor will probably fix that. The toggle is the last button above the post box. Like Norc said, it looks like a sheet of paper.

I'd try clearing your cookies or at least trying with a different Internet browser just to see if the problem might be something to do with your browser. Other than that I'm not sure what would be up.

Does seem to be a browser issue Eldo- on Chrome now and seems to be fine.

So just need to work out whats wrong with Firefox as I am not a fan of Chrome.  

Did you try the cookie thing? Also, clearing your image cache might help.

I havent tried it yet, Im downloading from the skydrive and just having two browsers open at the same time is giving this laptop palpitations- I think I will wait till its finished before asking it to do anything else.

 are u serious?! chrome is da best!

I prefer the plugins for firefox- their adblocking is much better and I like their plugins for downloading embedded vids from youtube and stuff.

Apart from that there is not much between them and they are both a million times better than IE
