mine for the day is this gem of an exchange from daytime TV hell the Vanessa Show;

I won the long jump in Sports Day! There was Year 8's competing too! I got 3.34mtres and the girl that came second got 2.73 metres! Yay Brigg!!!

I sang with the school chamber choir after school (it includes squach!)

(best of all I embarassed her when I danced to I'd like to teach the world to sing!)

I'm able to start jumping again! And I jogged a bit today!!!!!!!
(hey, it's been over 12 weeks since I last moved at a faster pace!)

I've started the process of being a Sergeant. First exam in September! Plenty of study ahead but I'm panting for the challenge. No time now for gentlehobbits (for awhile at least!) I'm moving on in the world!

Wit the!? A happy place. Wit the *!@* possessed me tae set up a happy place- must huve been aff ma heid that day...or sober. Where's the buckie! Gie me the buckie! Oh MIrabella, its all yer fault lass!

Yes, soon I'll be leading teams of Sheriff's. Liquor Control is what I'm most keen to pursue. (Makes gentlehobbits unreliable - in life and in love... ....grrr... )

My shortplay I wrote was preformed tonight in front of a full house, and it was PERFECT!!!!!!!!!! everybody loved it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Blimey! It is summer there right?!

Yep! 12-13 degrees at the bottom, photo from a beeb article (most read section on the side bar on the right!)

Thats quite cool. We get weird weather round here, there is stretch of road which is often bizarely calm, the air just doesn't move much for soem reason. In the right conditions when it rains you get a literal wall of rain, you can watch it coming up the road or even strep in and out of it- its quite bizarre.
I had a look at the most popular bit on the bbc site but got distracted by this;

The fact someone asked and they went to the bother of actually finding out has made me a little less crabbit- I like it when the world is a silly place!

Yes, I do like the beeb site, they make an effort to find some more amusing pieces with all the doom and gloom!

I went to a friend's wedding today which, although I had to wake up at 7:30 am on what should have been a day off and I got really hot and sweaty standing outside in the humidity, was a lot of fun. It's hard to feel crabbit after that.

I like weddings too, they usually mean free buckie

Today has been a good day! Me and a friend have been out for a good 7-8 hours camping and testing our new WMD's - the Bear Grylls Parang




It's more an axe than anything else, unstoppable that's what it is Will put it to the test tomorrow too, going fishing and camping again with some friends (with buckie this time - the guy I went with today is a Muslim, so for obvious reasons we didn't drink) - got to love the summer vacation

Your summer vacation is noticeably more badass than mine.

Not much more to do around here, to be honest! I'm not complaining, though, I'm having lots of fun

amazing! People round here complain there is nothing to do- what apart from all the stunning scenery, lochs, camping spots, hiking etc! Some folk deserve to live in cities! whereas others like poor Edlo deserve to be in the countryside.

Exactly the same around here. It's not like they've got better things to do judging by all the "I'm so bored" comments on facebook. Their loss, though

My little brothers generation are particular bad it seems to me. He and his friends don;t go up the back, no hiking up hills, epxploring the woods, fishing, campfires. I think if I ever did manage to persuade him to come camping he would spend the time wondering where you plug your pc and phone in

Sad, isn't it. There's lots of people like that my age too, but I've been lucky with my friends I guess. I enjoy going on solitary fishing trips once in a while, but it's not quite the same without good company

Agreed, good company and the outdoors is an unbeatable combination. We should organise a global hobbit refugees camping trip! (If only!)
