That isn't. The fact that it had to go in a different place to my old modem and now takes up 2 plugs previously occupied by the PS3 and a sound system.... that makes me crabbit.

Modem AND a router. Like going back to the dark ages.

Amarie already cleared this up, but yeah, you've mentioned your city both here, and on Facebook, and probably on your blog as well (the one linked next to every post you make).

If it's any consolation, just mentioning a city really isn't enough for anyone to stalk you. There's a lot of people here who have mentioned the cities they're from.
