Now in that pic Gollum does look more scarey ! & Frodo does look like a Hobbit, not like Elijahs over fed on burgers, waiting for a turn in a LARP fest, worried his costume aint up to it & noticing his "sword" IS a high street plastic knock off.

I've been plenty critical of Elijah Wood's performance as Frodo over the years (although he seems like a pleasant and funny guy from all the documentaries), but I'm not really sure what exactly you're taking issue with, Azriel.

sorry Eldo ! I sometimes think out loud & it often sounds like crap ! only makes sense to me ! I was just looking at the pic Chris posted & thought about how the actors depicted the characters. Elijah Wood was IMO a bit to "soft" for the role of Frodo, Frodo in the book was more on the ball, Elijah seemed to give the impression that Frodo was a bit wimpy ? He had the odd spurt of "lets go for it" but in the film Sam was more the Hero ? Even Merry & Pipin were depicted as a bit clownish ? but they were'nt in the book.

Pj's Frodo is a complete wimp- he does none of the brave stuff he does in the book. Appears to have no fibre to him at all in fact.

Pretty sure that's a fan-made poster since the logo at the bottom says "An Unexpected Journey" and I don't recall having seen that poster during the run-up to AUJ.
