This scene always bothered me because of the scenery around Sam & Frodo, When the Easterlings come across to see what the noise is.... 1st there isnt a large rock,then there is, the whole scene looks "iffy" ?

I always thought it was a bit silly how the cloak looks so much like a rock but it was a nice visual representation of their ability to hide people.

For me the problem with that scene is its inconsitancy- the elven cloaks are supposed to subtley alter their colouring to reflect whatever environment you happen to be in- but they dont in PJ's they just suddenly look like rocks in this one scene for no good reason.
