I think it is third person. Theyre going for more of a WoW or SWTOR deal.

Not for me thanks. I will stick to playing single player skyrim modded to bits.

They all seem very similar to me

I thought the game had potential until they showed the actual game bit- the world its set in looks good and involving- but the gameplay looks like the usual boring ass creed malarky sadly.

Zero Punctuation reviews Half Life (due to the usual industry pre-xmas release schedule he had nothing new to review)- entertaining and spot on as usual.

Stopped playing Oblivion, partly because my computer is a total bitch & partly because it is just. so. easy! It is just so easy to do.

So I've started playing Morrowind again; with Bloodmoon this time which I've never played before. The annoying thing is that I'm gunna have to level a character up first before I can start on all that stuff

You got the game of the year edition Ally with the extras/- the werewolf stuff, and the island (sorry thats not very specific but its been a while and amazingly I'm drunk so cant really remember)

I already owned morrowind & tribinual on disk, but never bought bloodmoon. When I was playing the game originally (at about 10/11) the game was still relatively expensive (no GOFTY edition as well) Bought it on amazon dead cheap- yes it has both solsthiem & werewolves

I take in everything when Im drunk Ally!- its just that it doesn't necessarily all make sense to me!
But your post did- I have a soft spot for Morrowind- Oblivion was lush and green and all but it semed quite safe, and bland compared to Morrowind.
Skyrim is better but I still miss forests of giant mushrooms!

Okay, morrowind's combat is pretty bad. Terrible, actually. Cliffracer's are annoying too. In term of world design, Morrowind beats Skyrim tho. Off the top of my head, things like the telvani towers and nix-hounds. The archeticture, the style was unique (okay mushroom maybe not there!)

It was complex, beautiful and a really great game. Bloody great game . Not hating on skyrim of course. But Morrowind was way ahead of its time. And I love it.

Nothing wrong with enjoying a classic game- I occasionaly get misty eyed playing Dungeon Master on my Amiga emulator- hey! its not sad at all ok!

I was trying to find Command and Conquer, Red Alert on Steam but it's not there.

I had Red Alert 2 but something mysterious happend in my P.C once that required me to take it apart and remove the hundreds of shards of CD that had exploded inside.

Try here Lance- Red Alert was re-released as Freeware a while back.

I can still remember being awestruck at Shadow of the Beasts graphics- 4 layers of parallax scrolling!! For games of that period it felt lke my eyes had died and gone to heaven.

And then of course who could forget the first time they saw Wipeout running on the psone?- I bought a ps1 on the strength of watching a friend play that game and I got the wipeout bundle- and it was as good as it looked.

So I give them a buckie salute - thankyou for the gaming memories.

Can't wait to enjoy a fresh GTA game again

I've just finished the main quest on Skyrim for the first time. This may be down to me forgetting previous stuff having spread playing it over about 6 months, but it felt extremely short. Am I right on this or is it just in my head?

People can blither and blather about all these reality role playing games, but nothing beats a good tank game. My favorite is still the original arcade game with two tanks in a maze, but now they have Bolo and the like. Many of the best are now gone.
