This doesn't technically count as stand-up, but I think this Star Trek interview shows off Simon Pegg's sense of humour really well. I like him immensely as a comic actor anyway.

MMmmm, I found it difficult to except him as Scotty, I was on edge waiting for him to do & say some idiotic Zombie like thing ( APART from acting in the film !) & for Nick Frost to turn up & say "cock it!"

Star Trek seemed to have fallen in to the Hollywood blockbuster generic mould when it got rebooted. Like the dwarves in the PJathon, each character in ST seemed to need their own distinctive area of entertainment value.... teen angst, love interest, someone who can fight, comedy relief and novice (light comedy relief).
Not sure why people can't just be normal like they used to be.

Though the final joke is different. He was playing Golden Brown by the Stranglers and someone in the audience remarked it was their wedding song, to which he replied "Err.. Well.. it's about heroin, actually." So, he improvised the wedding perspective into the routine from that.
Wow.
Anyway, I love his segueing from rap to hobbits.
