I think with all its photos this is one thread we will just have to restart.
So to get it going my friends wife took these on her commute home from work, if you have to commute this ain't bad.

The organisers of the annual Middle-earth Weekend at Sarehole Mill, Hall Green, in Birmingham, would like to invite you to take part in our photographic competition. Submit to us your photos of a tree or trees, taken throughout the year, that are sympathetic to Tolkien’s own love of trees and his stories. The aim is to create a calendar for 2012 that can be bought online. We invite you to submit photographs, taken at any time of year, of favourite, unusual, natural, beautiful and characterful trees, leaves or branches. Participation is free of charge. Entries must be original, natural and unmodified apart from minor cropping or resizing. They do not need to have been photographed recently but we would like details of where and the date when the photograph was taken.

The 12 chosen photographs will have the distinction and recognition of being included in this unusual and distinctive calendar with prizes awarded to the best two.

The Competition runs from now until the end of April when the winners will be chosen and their photographs prepared for display during The Middle-earth Weekend on Saturday and Sunday 21st and 22nd May and subsequently incorporated into the design of the calendar. love the qwerty keyboard

I don't have a phone (lost it in Poland somewhere ) so I use kindle 3g internet to check email on the go. I wouldn't mind a blackberry (that's a QWERTY keyboard as well I think) but someone with no job, not particularly prone to doing much at any time ever, can't really justify buying one, considering they are pretty poor at the moment!

STONE COLLECTING!! I do the same!! I never find shells that big on the beach though, that's awesome! Never painted them though. I arranged them all neat and tidy in my garden.

Its a piccy of a stall in Marrakech. Not ours, sadly, but would have had to pay and extautionate amount of dirhams for them all!

It looks a beautiful place! And I love foreign markets too! They probably would cost a lot. You can buy lovely stones in museums, but they're really small but still cost £1.50!

I do that when I'm in hay on wye! Doesn't usually work (owners have the advantage of taller most of the time, and actually owning the books) but when it does, it feels great!!

I think it's amazing how you can get the prices down so low!

A spy! A spy in our midst! I say we have a possum court (like a kangaroo court but not as heavy) and bring the guilty offender to justice- or I get the NotP to do a scandalous piece on Saradoc. Whichever is worse.
