actually that reminds me of a story. A car, A window, American girl, and lots of beer. How she didn't fall out I will never know, but she pleased a few passing motorists.

An asteroid, designated 2004 BL86, will safely pass about three times the distance of Earth to the moon on Jan. 26. From its reflected brightness, astronomers estimate that the asteroid is about a third of a mile (0.5 kilometers) in size. At the time of its closest approach, the asteroid will be approximately 745,000 miles (1.2 million kilometers) from Earth. Get all the facts: http://go.nasa.gov/1DWaW4x

Re: Oddities, curiousities and strangness in history
'The human race has lived on Earth for only 0.004% of the planet’s history.'
That just highlights just how arrogant our view of ourselves is and just how monumentally huge our self importance is.
I have an issue with 9- Egypt is all very impressive, but a thousand years before that the people of Skara Brae were building massive astronomical computers, complex temple structures and living in houses with indoor plumbing and underfloor heating.
