Thanks, yes, it's better and we have electricity and hot water now. Something made me giggle today. There is a car park where they have towed all the cars that were destroyed by the water and mud. They look like they were in a war zone. One bright spark has written 'wash me' with his finger on the rear window. It's a bit late for a car valeting.

{{ I remember once on the side of a very dirty van reading "my missus is twice as dirty as this van" beneath which someone else had written "She's the coal mans daughter!" }}}

{{ Never been to a Disneyland, or in fact any sort of theme park type thing. Is it not just paying to stand in queues? }}

Re: Holidays and absences [3]
If you pick lesser known but well designed theme parks there can be little queuing and lots of fun. Two in America that are well worth it are Silver Dollar City in Arkansas - a mining town theme park, and Kenobles in Pennsylvania, which is best described as a wooded campground with roller coasters.
Disneyland used to be worth at least one visit since more expense has been poured into it than anywhere else, but now the prices reflect it and can't be so easily stomached.
