Grand Strategy Board Game- War of the Ring by Ares Games

No game brings ME to life in a grand strategy way as WOTR by ares games.

I have had allot of fun playing this lore accurate game and i would recommend it to anyone who loves board games or tolkiens world. It also has a large MP community that plays Tabeltop simulator on steam. Someone even made a mod so the pieces look like the movies.

Cool! I tend more towards tabletop RPGs than strategy games*. Just something about the adversarial nature of 2-player strategy games isn't as fun for me, but I've always heard good things about this game.
It is quite pricey, $100 on the low end on Ebay and BGG.
Do you have a board game group you play with usually, or just family?

Just family and online with the community. I have not played RPG before but others talk about tolkien rpg and i might have look into them.

Yes, the one downfall is all the rules. But it is Tolkien's world in-depth, there is a lot to love.

{{ Ichecked out aplay thorugh of the game- its over 2 hours lonjg so I admit I didnt watch the whole thing but jutst skipped through watching hands being played.
Its certainly a indepth game for the hardcore board player.
