Does make you giggle, doesn't it? I get the impression they are as inscrutable to each other as they are to us. I'm not sure they even understand what's going on in their own heads. It's somewhat comforting to see they treat each other the way they treat us...and it still makes no damn sense.
a great moment is right at the begining, where the cat walks up to two other cats on a wall, and without so much as an exchange of civilities leaps over them and keeps going.

what gets me is everything is speeded up, like they live in fast forward, that and the bum sniffing.

Watching a documentary on cats. A few interesting notes:
• the meow has the same effect on the human brain as a baby crying. And cats only meow to humans!
• A vetenarian study worked on identifying the cat facial expression for pain. It turns out it's so subtle that humans can almost never recognize it, so special facial recognition software is needed, and is very useful to vets.
• Cat's CAN tell the difference between human facial expressions, and is more likely to approach someone who is smiling versus frowning.

that is true about the miow, I cant resist it for more than two seconds. cats definitely have expressions because I can tell when they are offended or sulking. I call it their 'naughty face'.

{ Defo Figg, I can read my two like a book, and they can me. When Im worried or sad they comfort me, sit on my lap, nudge me with their head, when I come home worked up or crabbit they know to ignore me and just carry on sleeping. And if a cat is in a huff with you nothing and nobody does 'I'm deliberately ignoring you but in a way you'll know I'm deliberately ignoring you' better than a cat.
My youngest cat (and largest) of the two the male is the loudest most vocal cat Ive ever heard. But then he came to me via my ex so was raised the first few months of his life by Italians, so no wonder he's super loud and expressive! }}
