Halfy, it is much less than it would normally cost. I acquired as many materials for free from work, and elsewhere, as I could.

There's no need for AC in the coastal climate here, and there's a propane heater.

Everything has increased in cost greatly since a few years ago, but thankfully lumber has returned to a slightly saner price after a large spike that happened about a year and a half into covid.

Still, if I was building the place at current prices I'm sure it would cost me something more like 60k.

That being said, boards are the cheapest component. The expenses really start to add up once you get into plywood, roofing materials, insulation, windows, hardwood floors, tiles, drywall, paint, appliances, etc.

Well, I never did get a video done, and now I've moved to Iowa!
