Can we please have this thread to say say anything off the tops of our heads, you know just random thought or is there a thread of it and I have not seen it.

Well then until it is pulled off, here is my two random thoughts.
First, how I abvsolutely love the picture by Ted above. So serene and calm, both the colors chosen and the subject matter.
Second, the green ribbon that I noticed on the upper right of my avy showing I am online gives me two distinct feelings: that I am a target and out there are those orcs and other that are just now getting their favorite weapons ready to strike; and I feel like I am in a beauty pageant and won green, perhaps for Miss Congeniality or something. Very electric those feelings.

"or is there a thread of it and I have not seen it."

That's basically every thread on this forum, but making one for the purpose is probably a good idea Very Happy When random thoughts cross my mind, I'll make sure to post them here if they're postworthy (new word?) Very Happy

Baloons should be rounder like soap bubbles. (Random enough?)

Across the road with wooden hands,
ears to see the news,
eyes to hear the sand,
this poem's a bit random. Very Happy

(Based loosely on Matilda Mother by Pink Floyd, y'know the bit where it goes "Across the stream with wooden shoes/bells to tell the king the news...")

Very Happy

I also love the banner picture we have. Very Happy Ted Nasmith is one of my favourite Tolkien artists but I had never noticed all the detail in this particular painting until Baingil zoomed in and used it for the banner.

Also, I am excited because the fourth (current) Pirates of the Caribbean movie has made a lot of money - it just became the 10th highest grossing movie of all time today and will probably reach #7 by the time it's done - and there will thus likely be at least two more Pirates movies. I'm a fan of that series, if you hadn't noticed. Very Happy

I love the first one, and after seeing the 4th, love the 2nd and 3rd. The 4th did nothing for me i'm sorry to say. The story seemed very 2 dimensional and there never was anything that really got you excited. Savvy?

My views on the latest Pirate film which I have now seen: Cap'n Jack is great, well done Jonny. He's as good as ever playing that role. Then there is the slight problem of underdeveloped characters, pretty lame romantic relationships, and a pretty unengaging plot! I miss Orlando! Please come back! The special effects and that high speed chase through London were fine though.

I enjoyed the fourth film a lot when I saw it for the first time, but after re-watching the second and third films for the first time since 2007 and rediscovering how much I enjoyed them, the fourth seemed a bit lackluster in comparison. Still, it was enjoyable, and hopefully with it's success Disney will be willing to shell out for a bigger budget next time and we can have sea battles again. Very Happy

Also, the mermaid scene was very exciting to me and the best part of the film, but there were a lot of scenes that I enjoyed. Also, Keith Richards has to be one of the most successful actors of all time if you just look at the average profits of his films. Razz

I think a lot of people undervalue the role that Will and Elizabeth played in the original trilogy, so it's nice to see that I'm not alone in missing them. Very Happy Their story was complete so I can understand the filmmakers wanting to leave them out, but I think Jack needs a straight man to play off of and Angelica didn't really fill that role as well as Will did, IMO.

Those are badgers and you can borrow the gif off of me, if you like. I borrowed it off someone else - don't know where they originally came from.

If you mean in RL, they can be rather mean (or so I hear) so I wouldn't suggest getting one. Also, they don't really jump like that. Laughing

Also, nice to see another elf around Forumshire! I don't mind all the hobbits but there's been a severe shortage of Elves lately, it's seemed. Razz

P.S. Petty, is that you? With flowers? Shocked

Not in real life, no , my father while he lived came upon an angry one and it nearly took his hand off. Someone had to hit it on the head , not too hard, to make it let go and then it tried to get them both. I do love Badger from Wind in the Willows.
Is that unusual for Petty to have fragrant flowers on his person, even non Elves like flowers, no?

I may be away for a while, some one in the family is not well and needing much help and love and support. But you will be in my thoughts and prayers and wishes. I wish for each of you a dream come true, and no not a deviant or sad little dream, but something worthy of each of you.
