As hilarious as ever! I use Chrome and the pictures are a bit big, but I just open them in a new tab by right-clicking and I'm able to see it no problem!

Also, I haven't looked at PT at all for a while, but NotP motivated me to go back and find this "that other site" comment. (BTW guys, that was dangerously close to real journalism. ) I'm tempted to mention that we've all run off, especially since there appears to be a former THM person there under a new name (not sure who), but what do you guys think? Personally I'd be in favour of posting a link, for the sake of the remaining refugees, at least.

Yeah, it is. Another word that might be used is barbecue but (in my mind, at least) that's just a specific type of grilling.

As to journalism in the NotP- well I never! Wonder who there mole is! Dangerous unpleasant work it must be.
I am all for you putting a link in Eldo- they might not like it much but you could alternatively just mention we are still about and that a google hunt for hobbit movie forum should turn up some 'free spirited results', ahem.

Yes, apologies for that. The original idea was to merge it into Planet Tolkien but it was a mistake, as PT's focus isn't the movie's but Tolkien's literature in general. Since then, there has been lots of confusion and people asking for a Hobbit Movie only forum, off of the the-hobbit-movie.com website. So I have installed a new one and will be leaving it well alone now. Live and learn

The old forum is still merged into PT but the new one will not be.

I guess I wish he could have at least let the place where the old forum used to be rest in peace. Or finished bringing back the posts he promised he would.

We should pay those guys who messed with Playstation Network to bring his whole site down, just for this

However hilarious your rags are, Mr Orif, I simply refuse to read any article in them --- and I state catergorically, MOST (or some) of what you write is simply NOT true (or NOT true in every detail, which amounts to pretty much the same thing, well, according to the opinion held in respectable circles anyhow)--- and certainly NOT respectable!

we at NotP often find that those who feature in our excellently researched, indepth brand of journalism, are those who shout the loudest against us. And we also often find that those who shout the loudest have the most to hide. And the Banks family more so than most we believe.

Bugle HomilyIt is a sad inditement of the times that the most popular (and hilarious - in a bad way!) newspaper (a mere 'rag') in Forumshire is the NotP. This, the respectable journalists (NOT muckrakers) of The Archet Bugle opine, is a POOR STATE OF AFFAIRS. How a scurrilous, pestilential and decitful rag (yes, we say "deceitful" for in a way, sort of, after a fashion, depending on the ambient lighting to some point, the "NotP" is a "deceitful" rag!) can be so popular surely shows the basic level of intelligence and propriety Forumshire folk have. Let that be the case though, for The Bugle can't fight every Satanistic Hydrahead in this (once) respectable land! However, at last this Respectable Bugle MUST address the slurrious issues NotP have risen. Frankly, we've had enough.

Indeed, we at The Bugle have taken to the streets. Let the People have a say, we say!

The NotP would like to thank the Archet Bugle for printing its latest damp squib of an edition here on the NotP thread where the rental space in buckie is very high. You shall be receiving a bill in the forumshire post soon.
We would also like to add that not only do we stick by our stories and sources, no matter how drunk they or we are, and that every word we print is the undiluted essence of truth, which may to some without the eyes to see appear not look like truth at all.
As to the departure of Jane from our staff, good riddens, two coloumns and she made the letters up, waste of buckie. If Dear Janes returns to our pages, assuming anyone has a problem to solve, we are obliged to point out that we have copyright over all images and right of use- or in other words we have the page template and are to bloody drunk to change it now.
