Any chance of seeing a NOTP election guide soon or do we need to jump right in? Maybe we should form parties.

Funny you should mention that. There is an edition almost ready for the presses Eldo. Expect it late tonight or early tomorrow (from my point of view!) if I'm not to buckied for making the delivery. Its rumoured to have an election special and the nominnees for the Awards.

Wow, I just took a look at that picture (I must have missed it when it was first posted) and it's gorgeous! Great job to both Mrs Figg and Petty.

I miss those photos of Mrs Figg though. Such a handsome woman. Orwell was right.

If you have them on your computer simply upload them to your favourite image hosting site and use the tag function in the post menu. There's even an option to upload them to a random site from your post a reply options.

If they're on your phone; not sure. Might be a way to upload them straight to site or you might have to transfer them to your desktop first. Eldo will know.

There's a number of ways you can upload photos. Probably the easiest is to go to an image-hosting site like www.imgur.com. Once there, click the "Computer" button, select the image or images you want to upload from the pop-up box, and then click "start upload". After the upload finishes, copy the image URL from the sidebar where it says "BB code (message boards and forums)". The code you put in your post should look roughly like this:

That code would result in the following:



Also keep in mind the following miscellany:

• Make sure the URL you put between the [IMG] tags is the URL for the image itself, not a web page that happens to have the image on it. In the case of Imgur, the URL should be in the format of "i.imgur.com..."
  
• You only need one full set of [IMG] tags around the image. I think Petty tends to put two tags around the URL for some reason, meaning that his images look like this...

[IMG][/IMG]

• ...and you don't want that. So remember: if you copy and paste the code in, have the [IMG]tags already there. If you use the built-in image post function (which I don't recommend since it's more complicated), paste only the URL without any tags, because the forum software will add the tags automatically.

I know this is all a bit complicated, but that's the reality of posting images. The image file has to be hosted somewhere before you can post it, unlike with text. Good luck, and if you have any questions or problems I'll be glad to help you figure them out.

I use photobucket, which is free and very easy to use and good if you want somewhere to have an album if your going to post a lot of pictures and want them stored somewhere on line. I'd recommend it as its always served me well.

The reason Eldo for the double img thing is a mix of photobucket and me being lazy. In photobucket it has different handy codes for different sorts of posting, the forum one, the img one already has the img bit attached, and the easiest way to get the code is to click on it, which highlights the whole thing, copy it and paste into the pic thing above, which when I post adds an extra set of img things to it. If you follow. Actually I've never thought about it before really but I wonder if bypassing the pic thing above and just pasting it directly onto the post would work, probably now I'm thinking about it.

I bypass the pic thing all the time and just copy and paste the [IMG] tags all the time. Works for me.
