Yeah but they take all the interesting bits out of their cars. like gears and proper steering, for the US market, then make the interiors out of crap cheap plastics.   

That would explain a lot.

I assume that they just looked at previous US car manufacturing and just assumed that was how you liked your cars

yeah, he's adorable but when he starts doing that it's almost impossible to make him stop.. :S

So rewatched the first video again as well, thoroughly enjoyable.

It has gotten rather wintery around here as well of late, and it's actually been semi snowing all day. So my insurmountable envy might have dropped somewhat.  

My view actually turned downright christmassy today:

we're getting rain and plus temperatures tomorrow bye snow..

I think I might stay off complaining about the weather for at least the next week, if you are getting that amount of rain. Well, unless we get rain as well that is. Which isn't all that unlikely.

That does look rather scary.

Though I'm loving the language in both videos.

I was afraid that the snow would melt quickly, but instead we got more today. Unfortunately that meant I had to drive through the snow to get to work. Fortunately the snow didn't start until 6:30, which is about the same time I leave, so it hadn't layered much on the already-plowed roads. And by the time I left work, most of the roads had been re-plowed.

From your comment about language I hoped when I watched them I'd hear some good Nordic swearing. Maybe it was in the writing: written Fjordlandian always looks like swearing to me.

Oh, there was certainly some swearing in Norcs dialect in both the videos in the second link Halfwise.   

In the first one by the bus driver and in the second one where the bus comes sliding backwards towards the guys car. It's a colorful language if you know what the words mean. Though it's maybe not as exuberant as one could expect.   

That looked damned scary, by the way.  The bus driver did some job just keeping it on the road.

you're spot on in those videos blue  it's that much ice..plus a bit of water on top.. no gravel/sand..

Well, I wouldn't be the first to jump on a bus in Tromsø then. It must be a bit frustrating when you have to to use them.

I hope none of those hills are on your everyday route.
