That's right. Late February or early March. It was just before I got off in Vardø and hitchhiked south. (That was F***ing Cold! My camera froze!)

Ah, ok. Very Happy

It was only that we were talking of Michael Palin travelling through just those parts the other day, but that was in the early 90s I think.

It's here for anyone who's interested. He travels from the North Pole across Svalbard to Tromsø. And then takes the Hurtigrute north and travels across Finmark to Finland.

Oh, nice to hear that Eldo. Tales of Home [4] - Page 3 2023

Petty; I know what you mean. It's been like that here for the last couple of weeks. And you do live in the way  of a lot of weather systems. There are certain areas on the south west coast of Norway that almost never get snow just for that reason.

Here's the difference a bit of snow makes: (Yesterday and today)

Thanks Norc! Very Happy We went sledding too. I'm at my dad's so I didn't have my stuff, but I was able to borrow some snow gear. It's snowing in the city too and the Ravens are playing at home, so the playing field was completely covered in snow. Nod

It turned to sleet last night regular than rain, so when I woke up today it's still white outside. Very Happy Though I'm not looking forward to driving home in this. Suspect At least they had already salted most of the highways.

the thing is, if it absolutely must be cold, it's all rather pointless unless it snows. You see?
