Oh Mrs Figg, I shouldn't like to gloat, but I've got Orwell now - because of your unfaithfulness - and you're left with Petty, you poor thing... I shouldn't be gloating, but I am. Very Happy

You'll be on your hands and knees scrubbing all day and night, because he'll be-buckie the place as quick as you de-buckie the place. Are you sure you still want to marry him, Mrs Figg?

That is outrageous Mirry! I'd go out to drink whilst she is cleaning, I do have some manners you know. Evil or Very Mad

Besides you are just jealous at giving up the chance to live in a barrel with its own jacuzzi and an infinite supply of crabbit wisdom to hear, from me, every day, until you die.

That's the worst kind of revelation, Petty, and you know it. Shocked No wonder we girls get angry at you. Rolling Eyes I mean, saying things likely to be true without a thought for consequences! Mad

Earlier today I looked at Bree's archives...it was quite surprising and disconcerting that 18 months ago there were still Dozens of registered users, now as far as I can work out there are scarcely 20 posters, barely half a dozen regulars.

Hmm.

To be fair, the forum has gone through several long periods of quietness. This isn't the first, but yeah it isn't helping.
I have no problem getting in a heated debate with someone, but that's not really what happens there anymore.

Praise Eru for my Banksian forethought in creating this Thread! Very Happy Now you have a place of Refuge until you return (one day) to Bree.

I must say, we've had our 'troubles' here {{{as is bound to happen when you have limp-wristed progressives like Eldo and Amarie in Leadership positions}}}, but we always (kind of, sometimes, after a fashion) make things up, and only one or two citizens have ever left (permanently) in total anger or disillusion. That says something for Forumshire, and our open mindedness, I'm sure, and our willingness (at the last) to accept we don't always have to agree nor waste too much time apologizing about intemperate comments Petty (nearly always) sometimes makes. Nod

{{Not that I altogether agree with open-mindedness, mind! Suspect }}}

Visitors from Bree-land - Page 2 Empty What happened to Bree?

Post by jon Thu Dec 05, 2013 1:38 pm

Hi Folks!

I haven't been around for a while. What happened to Bree? I cann't even find it on a Google search. It used to be that it would always show up at the top of the list when searching for "The Hobbit Movie". Now it's only the corporate sites, especially TORN stuff at the top. I guess they must have learned a thing or two about how to get your site to the top of the search list. (Perhaps someone also learned how to get a site off of the top and keep it well out of sight, if you take my meaning....)
