erm I think I need to apologize to Petty. I am going through some heavy stuff, and I let my anger and frustration and fear and my sadness take over. 3 of my cats are dead, and it aint looking good for the others. Its truly shit.
btw I am banned from Bree, just to complete the happy times. I deserved it, it was all my own doing, shit has hit the fan. what joy.

Found the thread on HMN where the squabble apparently happened, but the good bits have just as apparently been edited out. I'm sure this is a great loss, must have been quite a fruity salvo to ban an admin! I thought the back and forth that is still there showed impressive scholarship on JM's part versus Petty's famous eye for detail.

They were in the back of my mind during recent events and I was trying very hard not to push your buttons but if I inadvertently did then I apologise.
I have never took any offence from your words there or anywhere else ever, though I might admittedly get a bit crabbit about them at times, but I will just repeat the post I put up on Bree before I saw your post here-

I would hope if Mrs Figg and I ever met I would take her to a pub, buy her a drink and we could talk, and come closing time we could both get chucked out for starting a fight.
Perfect British night out once you throw in stopping off for a kebab on the way to the taxi rank.

I haven't had the time to get to know you that well yet, Mrs Figg (or any of you guys who joined during or after second half of 2011!), but I'm sorry to hear about your cats all the same.
Regarding conflicts, I think they're healthy for any community (to an extent of course). As long as people are able sort it out afterwards it's all good - happens all the time in the real world, and people remain friends. The fact that we can have it out on each other here and apologise to one another afterwards just proves we're more than just a shallow internet community
