I liked the flip out the bear had & that waste bin for lazy bastards of the world is actually a good idea when you consider how many disabled people there are.

The bears look like brothers, and just about the age where one will drive the other away. They don't have very good family lives, bears.

You've got to admit that humans are evenhanded about it. We treat all species equally badly, including our own. 
We're just at the season here where the mother bears run their cubs of last year out of their territory. They're pretty brutal about it. We see these young yearling bears, often half starved, roaming around looking lost and trying to find any territory that hasn't been staked out by other bears. This is the time of year when garbage cans can disappear.

I get told off for putting out food for the foxes here, (Im not the only one who does!) Dont know what Id do if I saw a hungry lost bear ? poor things.

This opening of Spring is a lean time for all the creatures.
I put all my food scraps out in the yard, and they're all gone in the morning. Raccoons, coyotes and bears are the most common visitors, judging by the tracks and poo they leave.
My cat often spends clear nights outside hunting, but he's also keenly aware that others are hunting him.....

Not all of us live in places where wild animals can or do eat humans whole, fortunately.

Thats ok Norc, we live in different countries & we do things differently. Here,foxes are persecuted a lot & with the depletion of the countryside,foxes are coming more & more into towns where people dont want them, so,in the suburbs some people put out dinner scraps for them, I guess cos we feel sorry for wild things, half are set upon by yobs with big half starved dogs, cos these yobs think its hysterically funny to see a vicious dog RIP apart a trapped wild & terrified animal to bits, alive ! maybe its not a good idea to feed the foxes but food in the wild for them isnt always easy these days. So many are killed on our roads, leaving babies at home,that are gonna starve to death cos "mum" got killed on the road. Some gits I know go out at night to deliberatly run foxes over on the road.

yep, that is true, doesnt happen that often thank god ! But some animals are opportunist & sadly this fox did go to far.

yeah, but by feeding them, it extends the problem, they come to the city and to people because they can find food there. we don't feed reindeers in our gardens.. or else they wouldn't be on the mountain, just lurking around the houses, and even though it's fun meeting them, they don't belong in my rose garden.

your right really, norc. its cos of humans that foxes,or any animal, come into towns etc. It is nice to see wildlife when you can so I guess thats why we do it ? we only have ourselves to blame !

that is the most stupid thing ever to do, set out dinner scraps and what not, then complain about hitting them on the road, abandon cubs and roaming trash cans and all that, giving deceases to dogs and spreading. srsly... you guys... don't feed wild animals. didn't anyone ever teach brits that?
