Latest news about Orwell's music

Dear all.

As we all know, there is a certain song and a certain video which has become a hot topic in so many ways. A legend before anyone has ever heard a note or seen a single pixel! The rumors fly and accusations are made and many wonder: does this song even exist?

I have come across, quite by chance of course, some secret information. Listen now, ladies and gentlehobbits: Not only does the song exist! It is one of several questionable songs which will be published by Bree Records and Cheese!

Though it is still early days for this project, I have via various connections got my hands on the the album cover. My oh my!

How am I supposed to shirk my responsibilities and let everyone down if you go make a song and dance about some, um, song and dance?

There's a dance too!? Like the macarena? Is it the carrot dance?

No there is no actual dance!! Its not that sort of music video- mainly because in rural Scoltsdale its harder to get women willing to gyrate in their underwear in front of a camera on the claim its for a friends music video than you might imagine, or I had hoped. And it is most certainlty not the Carrot Dance- I'd have to pay them WAY more for that! (And I'd probably have to pay for the carrots)

There should be a dance! Thinking about marketing for christs sake!
Btw, do we have conformation that that is the actual album cover?

I'm not making an ALBUM's worth of music videos!! It's a single!

Still could make a video for the bside though, and then chuck a few dubstep remixes in there as well. Or if it's digital have a different album cover for each track..

With Petty's techno wizardry it shouldnt be taking quite so long surely? Even I could do a video quicker and I couldnt even copy and paste a dancing carrot thats how rubbish I am. You go somewhere pretty, you take your digital camera thingy, shoot nice landscape, go home and edit it to look Youtube worthy and surely thats it? or am i missing something?

Look the video is a narrative to the songs lyrics and mood- it therefore as well as more expressive imagery (a lot of that stuff is done) has some acting in it- this is the part which is the delay as I have very little of it filmed- this is simply down to trying to get everyone involved available at the same time and willin gto do it- this is proving so frustrating I am considering doing some sort of animation style to replace the live action segments.

Why dont you just scrap the idea of having actors or animated people and just have an atmospheric piece?, you could do that time lapse thingy with mountains and clouds or a Lake, you dont necessarily need people in a video to make it good, sometimes people make it worse if you get hammy acting or rubbish costumes. as for animation, even WETA animation went tits up occasionally, so unless you are on Yuri Norstein level I wouldnt bother with it.

The stuff Ive done is the animation stuff- and it is flying through clouds etc, but cant just have that and what there is doesn't really make sense as its meant to go inbetween the filmed bits- and that stuff is not big acting, its very simple mood stuff, no dialogue or anything. Its not the difficulty of doing it its getting it done is the problem.

I find this all quite intriguing... especially as Mr Tyrant seems to being bullied in a most severe manner.... and him apparently doing a very generous and time consuming, mind consuming, soul consuming good deed for someone he has never met in person -- or received any cash from, though he has received a lot of abusive emails, and rarely a word of thanks or encouragement - or so Orwell tells me...

Will you two stop dilly dallying and just get on with it, Petty gets kudos for a video of a Haggis roaming the glens, Orwell gets kudos for his impression of knicker-flung-in-face crooner extrordinaire, it goes viral, NotP does a scoop with lots of embarrassing palantirazzi photos, we all break out the buckie, party, sleep? well?

A wonderful scenario, Mrs Figg --- knickers! Make a nice change from all the faeces and streams of piss... .... ... ... though....

Hasia just looked up and saw the avy and said "Oh look, there's the buckie drinker." i was rather surprised.
At any rate a few months ago i could not sleep and went on Youtube. Oerath Windsong from the gentle planet had asked me to look him up and i did. then somehow, i have no idea how it happened I came across an animation with the author of it being Pettytyrant. I was so surprised. It had an archer and a wondrous dragon in it. i watched it three time times and was mesmerized by the whole thing and how well done it was.
