Music [2] Empty Music [2]

I plan to eventually dub in an improv part on alto recorder, but don't know when I'll get around to it.  time doesn't really hang heavy on my hands and I'd have to figure out how to use whatever Norc is using.  (garage band?)

so this is the sheets i used, so if it is false it is because the sheets were bloody hard to read. but here's the link, i'll explain more there. since i don't have any good recording system i'm just plucking the strings.
password is as always forumshire Smile http://dorkynorc.tumblr.com/
btw, the part here that i have sheets for i think will sound best on a guitar, even though u yourself don't think so.

Just listening to the song on youtube:

Is it a cello playing the bass notes? That is what I was trying to replicate with my bassier notes (although I think they start on a G).

Then there is something playing that I can't tell what it is (xylophone? harp? odd sounding piano?) that is what i was playing the high bits on idea 2 which was basically notes from an a minor scale (basically an arpeggiated A minor chord on guitar with 1 other note in there [C, B, A, E])

Have to bear in mind I am a tone higher without re-tuning my guitar so where I play A, the song is actually in G.

just start on a D please, then i can double and octavate and play all the bits :)u might be right that it starts on a G, if i get the viola out i can join u on that, but i can't go as high up on the viola.. maybe.. maybe.

edit: but whether it is a D or a G doesn't really matter that much (as the violin is tuned in quints so that i only change string to start on) my main point was that it is not AAFE, but DDEFDDBA

Ok. I'll see how that goes then. Might have to re-tune but sure that is easier on mine that it is on yours.

ok. so i got out the viola and tried starting on a G (since u insisted) i then octavated to a higher G. i tried going even higher, but as the viola doesn't have the E string (top string in violin) it became a bit dificult, ihad to play faar far far up on the neck. if i do record this properly, i think i will try to borrow a five string electric violin, so problem solved. so yes, if you're ok with starting on a G i think that is what we'll do.

yes. yes it is. especially since violins aren't meant to be tuned very differently xD it might be a string goes Razz

I didn't insist... just asked if you could. I will see what I can do with the tuning tomorrow and put something up to listen to and see what you think.

The program is called: AUDACITY http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

Auda city. Det e enkelt å huske.

I tried playing without any wires and stuff, but apparently the mic in my laptop didn't work.

I think the sheet music I have (someone who made free version for brass band) should match Norc's.

That's not helpful. Mine didn't work the other day... I found a random setting in the program I was using though and turned it on. Check there isn't a mic input volume setting somewhere.

Theres so much stuff coming up with the film, Who 50th, return of Sherlock soonish, the Awards.

Blimey. Norc seems to have figured out she has a life to live.
