You're a genius!  Now Figg has left me fancy a weekend in a giant ball hanging from some tress with a drunkard in a kilt who is connected to buckie by a lot of straws? I'll need someone to help me out when I get so drunk I try to get home by walking and go round and round like a hamster on a wheel until I start panicking and/or vomiting  {{Its these sort of romantic opportunities with me Figg will be kicking herself about missing you know  }}}

I'll bring a harness, I think one that swings a bit would be wise.  

And a bit of padding, a girl likes comfort  

If you fill the whole ball with bucky you won't need padding at all.

Thats a great idea too Halfwise- but Im still not inviting you too.  

If that "ball" starts in Canada, itl end up in Hong Kong by the time....well............lets just say...we need more straws !

Yeah the guys whose jaguar got melted, its hard to feel sorry for him when you read it.

Foreign Accent Syndrome. And that is so typical of medicine when it doesnt have a clue whats going on- just give it a name that merely describes the symptoms and hope it sounds better in latin!

Not the most popular of jobs. Waking every bugger up in the street because Joe bloggs has to be up early for his milk round.

I think I remember that   I remember steam trains and rag and bone men too. ohmagawd how old AM I ? oh and chimney sweeps, and gas lamps. shit

Youve got me beat on steam trains (excepting novelty ones kept running for tourism) but we had paraffin lamps when I was a kid, and a portable calor gas heater for the mornings, pre central heated houses, when in the winter there would be fantastical ice patterns all over the insides of the windows.
And we had a rag and bone man too, and chimney sweeps, and the coal truck making deliveries, and a coal cellar to keep it in.
I miss proper fires a lot.

I remember getting things like butter in brown grease proof paper over the counter, margerine tubs didnt exist. actually I dont think plastic existed.  

I remember tupperware from a young age  It was a big thing- everyone had it, cups, sandwich boxes, plates- all tupperware!

But the best thing was proper sweet shops- with stuff in jars- and you got it in a paper bag by the ounce.
