Sounds like an awesome place, halfy! Stopped by one or two places of a similar kind when I went to England last year, got to love the general mood and the people.

Such institutions take time to set down roots. If I had a private foundation, I'd travel around the country finding places like this and endowing them just enough to make sure they can stay open. They are important.

My 1st hunch was Dr who  

this weekend in Eastbourne we had " Airbourne ". It all kicked off on Friday but Yesterday really was the only day that we got the Red Arrows flying. The weather down here is grotty & its been a no go on the flying due to low dense clouds. We still love the Red Arrows, they do a fantastic job just to keep us smiling. I listened to the heavy roar of all kinds of planes going over my place yesterday & it got me thinking how loud it must have been during the war   Now, we wave & cheer & turn out in 1000's to see them

cheers guys, we went to a medieval festival at Castle Coira, and just as I took the first photo of the great costumes the battery of my camera died. Mr Figg was off watching some battles or other and I was pretty sure he was taking photos, but after when I asked him he said he thought I was taking photos so he didn't bother because 'it was too hot' and he couldn't be arsed. bloody typical.

So the little bar just a 5 minute walk from my place has been named one of the 21 best bars in America by Thrillist. I posted about it before - remember this?


So some grad students let me know they were there and I joined them: my rule for NYC is never let yourself go out alone or you'll be broke within two weeks. This was my excuse.

heading out with them later. Damn but I do love people younger than myself - once you reach the age 40+ you begin living through the excitement of others. The trick is to not intrude, just ride along. A visitor is in town looking for New York pizza; heading somewhere tonight, not sure where.
