I'll just jump in here and nod my head at all the advice about resting alternate days. => Nod

You can actually make your muscles worse ("Jelly Legs") by not giving them time to recover. They are starved for energy, and will start munching on themselves as the nearest nutrient if you just let them go. As soon as they go jelly, stop: feed them carbs and water immediately. Higher quality nutrition can wait for a meal. Rest until better, usually skipping a day to do so.

ok I walked 4 miles and up a hill to Dol Guldur and back (without being waylaid by spooks) and my legs have re-jellied, and I am lying on a chaise longue being a Wimp or maybe a Susy.

Jeff Guidry volunteers at the Sarvey Wildlife Care Center in Everett Washington.In 1998 a baby eagle was brought emaciated, covered in lice and with two broken wings.

After 6 weeks "Freedom" still could not stand, when the decision to euthanize if she couldn't stand up that week had to be made she finally stood up.They knew "Freedom" could never fly so Jeff started to glove tra
in her for educational programs and visited schools and appeared on TV.

In spring 2000 Jeff was diagnosed with non-hodgkins lymphoma stage 3. He had 8 months of chemo but when he felt good enough he'd go and take Freedom out for walks, she also appeared in his dreams to help him fight cancer.

In November 2000 for his last check up the cancer was gone and the first thing he did was to take out the big girl for a walk.

"I hadn't said a word to Freedom but somehow she knew.She looked at me and wrapped both her wings around me (I was engulfed in eagle wings) and she touched my nose with her beak and stared into my eyes, and we just stood there like that for I don't know how long. We have been soul mates ever since she came in. This is a very special bird."
