My favouirite is when one of them takes a maddy and goes haring round the room at top speed- they usually end up half way up a wall before realising they shouldn't be there and then gravity catches up with them.

I think it's remarkable how they say about cats that they have a parachute effect. So if you drop them from above the third floor or something, this effect will kick in and the cat will land safely and unharmed.
So, there is just this small window of falling distance, because they are pretty good landers from smaller falls as well, where a cat might actually get hurt from a fall.

one of my cats turned up again after 4 years. last time I saw him he was a kitten. he was starving and bony and full of worms, but he knew me and that he had found his home again. I wonder where he had got to all this time.

thanks Eldo, he has been stuffing his face for a week now and already looks better. I think maybe male cats do wander off sometimes if they haven't been neutered.
