Mayoral Elections Voting Empty Mayoral Elections Voting

Post by Pettytyrant101 Mon Dec 01, 2014 9:26 am

Voting is now open for the position of Forumshire Mayor. Polling booths across Forumshire will remain open until midnight on the 5th of December GMT.

Rules- everyone is eligible who does not currently hold an official position. Eldo, Orwell, Tinuviel, Amarie and Petty are therefore excluded from nominations.

Each member can cast one vote and you cannot vote for yourself.

How to vote- just PM your choice for Mayor to Petty, simple as that.

If you work your way through the logic, YOU are, Forest.

Platforms? Shocked That would entail actually remember whatever we may have said in the past.

I think I said I would double the pay of all our under-appreciated non-elected officials. Nod

I will also declare that the word "whilst" will have a silent 'e' appended, as befits such an archaism. And despite the protests of Microsoft Corp, "travelling" (note the double L) and "color" (note the absence of 'u') will be allowed together in sentences without stupid red squiggles below them, regardless of nationality selected.

And Bucky shall be imported across all borders, real or imagined. And pop-tarts will appear on Fjordlandian shelves.

Day 1 polling has ended and Pure Publications have released this news update-

-------Polling has begun briskly on Forumshire for the Mayoral Elections, but many citizens have yet to take up their civic duty to vote and polling stations are expecting a busy 2nd Day.
So far there is no clear front runner with a spread of candidates in the running.-------

Hopefully five days will be enough time for everyone to vote, but if it isn't, I'd rather we extended the polling period...

What?! Why? Dont you want to preside over large banquets? Go to the Ambassadors Ball at Amaries place and sail to Valinor on her yatch for Royal Garden Parties with Queen Tinuviel? Suspect

(But you can still vote either way)

Voting is continuing briskly on Day 2. But some folks yet to cast their vote still.
Update on contenders at midnight and Pure Publications tell me there will be a special Polling Eve special featuring the front runners.
