{{ Was the Old Firm Derby, and Rangers coasted to a 2-0 winover Celtic at Celtic Park. The following may still be somewhat inscrutible however to non Scots and non Old Firm fans! }}

Anyone see game 4 in The World series. What a game. Best game of baseball I've seen.

I've never managed to get in to baseball. I would like to go see a game one day though... see if that ignites anything.

If you do, treat it like a picnic. The game is slow as molasses, just a reason to be in the stands drinking beer and eating snacks. The focus keeps it a bit more interesting than a picnic.

Well... congratulations to Tom Brady guiding the Bucs to the Superbowl. I think moving to a new team and winning the AFC championship at his age, confirms him as the GOAT when it comes to quarterbacks.

I cant see them beating the Chiefs though!

{{ Chelsea and Man City have announced they are scrapping their plans to join. Quite right too, a football competition without relegation and promotion is not football at all. If there is no chance of a minnow to upset the applecart by beating big teams and making it through to finals then the beauty and joy of the game is gone. }}

{{ Thats all six Premiership teams now withdrawn from the propsals. Not suprised if the Prem League, UEFA and FIFA went ahead and banned any players who take part from being able to play for their country or enter other competions or play in the major leagues its end of career. }}

I am a Liverpool supporter and would have very much not followed them if this had gone ahead.

Glad I didn't have to make the choice! Stupid idea driven by greed and driven by some big clubs in huge debt.

The selection of clubs made it clear this was about money and nothing else.

{{ Not only that it misses the point about when the really big teams do meet in competition, that its a special reasonably rare occasion, a big event for fans. If they are only playing each other week in week out it just takes that away and makes it quickly mundane and run of the mill.

And as a fan of a big club in my countries league if you take away the chance we can lose a game to a minnow team, get dumped out a cup in a giant killing, much as you dont want that to happen, that it can is what makes even these matches still exciting and nerve wracking. And if you support a smaller less successful club then the chance to be the giant killer is what you live for.
So either way you slice it making a league with only top big clubs and no chance of failure is not football, its not what its about, its not in the spirit of the game and is quite an offensive approach to take for the vast majority of fans of any team. }}

yep a tiny team playing a big one must be incredibly exciting, if they are all at the same level, boring.

This is why college games are more fun to watch than professional: more chance of an upset. Professionals make less mistakes.

Well done Manchester City being premier league champions.

This is a great shot taken by a drone. Don't no how they did it, but it looks great.
