This rings a bell Chris ? Did someone post a bit of this before ? Unless my mind deceives me This is the only story that I want more off IL never get "bored of the Rings" Sorry for the pun, well, no Im not actually But Middle Earth has a fascination that wont let me go ! It really is magic

For some reason I never got around to listening to Blind Guardian's power metal (with distinct prog rock influences) album Nightfall in Middle-Earth (sic), but I'm doing so now and it is fantastic. For those who don't know, it's a concept album that doubles as an adaptation of the better part of The Silmarillion. Not quite making it flesh, but the music itself is great and very fitting IMO for the subject matter IMO. They clearly did their lore homework, too.

Agreed, az. It's less than 20 years old though (1998) which makes me excited to try to listen to more new(er) metal, after having been raised in such a classic rock-heavy environment.
