Sadly not here. We didn't even get the tiny amount that was forecast earlier in the week.

Xmas arrives in my little town. The lights on the town tree were switched on, Father Christmas paid a visit in his sleigh, and the kids had a ball in the drizzle (it certainly didnt dampen their spirtis!)-

I did already threaten to move to Tromsø, but the weather doesn't seem to care much.

Though I will admit the weather is a complete obsession of mine at this time of year. Particularily when, as you say, we don't have any.

I always thought there was something iffy about him. He lives in Cascadia; they've probably imported umlauts along with their other queer European ideas.

Though it's common for river valleys in moister climes to fill up with fog, it's a rare sight in the Grand Canyon, happening only about once a decade or so.

Damn, those are some incredible photos. Barely even looks like the Grand Canyon in some of them.

That would actually make a really cool hike coming back up from the bottom. I've walked through a temperature inversion layer like that when climbing a mountain. It feels like you're in a microwave as you approach the cloud surface, and then suddenly you're standing on a cloud.
