He is so flirting with Eowyn... drank from her cup and everything!!- Lance

I hate that scene but particularly for Theodens reaction, encouraging it.

Its one thing to show Eowyn as mistaking their relationship, its another for a world wise King to do it Evil or Very Mad
And they definitely play that scene as if Aragorn is seriously thinking about it with Arwen supposedly leaving Mad
And apart from anything else it smacks of one of those things PJ made up on the spot as Viggo's performance in other scenes he plays Aragorns attitude close to that of the book Aragorn- with sadness and compassion. He certainly wouldnt be so cruel as to lead her on Evil or Very Mad

Nah he is def leading her on in that scene- he gves her the eye and he drinks from her cup and thats some pretty blatant symbolism.

I fixed this sequence in my edits Lance- in my edit Pippin doesn't lit the beacons, the beacons are lit as a direct response to the rout at Osgiliath and are now part of that scene, and the sequence of beacons being lit goes from night to day. Nod

Just watched the directors cut of Dark City- I highly recommend it and if you have never seen the film at all its a must see.
It came out the year before the Matrix, which totally overshadowed it as they have similar premises, which is a pity as for me this is the better film.
I love the look too, a mix of film noir and German industrial and a beautiful use of models and mattes.
Story wise its kind of like the thinking persons Matrix.

Oh and the soundtrack is excellent too.

But there was no 'bullet time' Petty. Was never gonna beat the Matrix without that.

I must say I have no idea what is going on from the trailer. I don't think I would watch it based on seeing that.

Its one of those films its hard to make a trailer for without giving it away. For much the same reason its hard for me to explain it without giving to much away.
Its not as slick, or a easy to watch as the Matrix but its a lot more thoughtful.
