Hadn't spotted all of those, even after all these years.

Unknown actress Billie Lourd,21, has been cast in the new film as the young Leia for flashback scenes apparently.

You might not have heard of the actress, but she should at least look the part, which is why she was cast- she is Carrie Fishers daughter!

Huh. I wonder how extensive the flashbacks will be, and to what time period. Could be during (or even before) the original trilogy, or it could be afterwards dealing with the establishment of the New Republic and the like. Of course, that assumes there even is a New Republic in this strange, post-EU world we inhabit now.

I would guess she will play Leia in the years around the original trilogy, either just before or possibly more likely just after.

Carrie Fisher was 19 when she starred in Star Wars, and her daughter is currently 21.

Did you spot the big coms dish from Endor in the distance just before the DS? I missed it first time through it looks so naturally part of the background.

Flashbacks aren't too bad.... effective way of filling some gaps that will probably need to happen.

I suppose they could literally do a starting scene from the end of Jedi to explain what happened next. Or maybe it will be about her training to be a Jedi herself.

That little clip was cool. The Star Destroyer was a bit much though.

That was the shield generator that Han and co blew up in Jedi, right? I did notice it, though it blended into the clouds so I almost didn't.

'Jedi News are reporting that Doctor Who showrunner Steven Moffat is being eyed for one of the new Star Wars movies. In exactly what capacity that might be is unclear, as they say he could have been approached to be a writer, producer or director. If it's for one of the new trilogy installments it'd presumably be the final one which doesn't yet have an announced team aboard, but it could also be for one of the spin-offs. The site have been a pretty consistent source of info for these movies, though it remains to be seen if certain things they've posted will pan out -- so we'll have to take it as a rumor for now. But if Moffat was to take the reigns on a future Star Wars movie, we can't see too many fans complaining.'- comicbookmovie.com
