Re: WAKE UP!!!!
It's a pretty tangled reference, not clear how to interpret it.

In The Last Jedi, Luke says something like "I only know one thing... It is time for the Jedi, to end."halfwise wrote:It's a pretty tangled reference, not clear how to interpret it.

Yes, everybody knows that. But what are you implying by it? Luke was being influenced by his personal failure raising his band of padawans, and so his critique may be seen as a statement of the difficulty in controlling a powerful order when there is only a single master rather than a fully functioning society of Jedi. So is he critiquing himself or the concept of Jedi? Since there is no master/padawan structure in Forumshire, it's difficult to apply the quote in its proper context. Are other Tolkien forums to be seen as the Jedi order? If so they don't interact the same way. So I don't see "It's time for the Jedi to end" as a simple statement at all.

Re: WAKE UP!!!!
He doesn't know...
- Spoiler:
- You're overthinking the reference then.

Re: WAKE UP!!!!
A decided lack in active forum members has inspired a malaise in my Tolkienien Spirit.
I must needs be revived by a direct injection of Tolkienian goodness or I shall fade away.
