Sorry, got seduced by that challenge that is Nano again this year.

Was determined to make a real go of it this year and I'm proud to say I hit my 50k this evening and have only one or two scenes left to write till I've finished the tale. First time I've finished a piece of writing I've started so thats a win too. It has eaten into my online time, slow typing means 1667 words a day takes a while.

hoping to be back around a bit more.... and still hiding from the movie news till later next month!

Oooh can you put your nano in creative corner (and if at any time you feel like adding more to your excellent Dark Planet Day story that would be great too, and I can start to forgive you for leaving it hanging for so long when it was so good )

Congratulations! I thought about trying NaNo but I've been busy adjusting back to school so I didn't really have the time or energy. I did start working on writing again in the past week or so (I posted it in the Creative Corner </shameless plug>). Writing 50K words in a month is very impressive though.

NB I made a spoiler-free thread in the Hobbit forum to hide in; you might find it of use too.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do with the nano. It's a silly sci-fi piece that was written off a single 500 word outline with the sole aim of getting to the end of something as I now have three pieces of writing stalled at 20kish. Will need serious editing. I only worked out all the names and roles of the crew at 34k. Some will need writing into the earlier part of the story. And a lot of it was written very quickly, meaning it reads like a ridiculously detailed outline. But I'll see how I feel in a few days.would be interesting to see what its like.

On the plus side I think I have figured out the problem with the dark planet piece and the alice fan fiction piece so may well pick one or other up again.

Will toddle over to creative corner at some point, but first I have my treat for finishing nano to read - latest spinward fringe is out!
