I'm not running much right now (just a browser, including YouTube for music), but I wanted to share my new wallpaper. Very Happy I use Ubuntu so all the programs are in the drop-down menus at the top and I deliberately keep the rest of the screen free so I can use images I like without them being cluttered. This is a picture of Loch Lomond that I found on Wikipedia (previously it was a picture of a Chinese mountain range also from Wikipedia). Smile

I've been secretly brainwashing you all into becoming Scots, nothing odd about it.

Actually, I saw that post and thought the name sounded familiar so I Googled it (I'm pretty sure I was just thinking of the song). Anyway, that picture was on the Wikipedia page and I liked it, and I hadn't changed my desktop in a while, so I downloaded it and voila. Very Happy

It's much easier to keep my computer uncluttered than my room, so I enjoy tidiness where I can. Very Happy

ps if anyone dounts I get crabbit (and petty) just as much when not here (or in fact even when alone) check out the file name to the video file third up on the last row (going left to right). Took about 6 attempts to get that bridge bit right and my sentiment is expressed in the file name!!

Just found an old screenshot of my computer before it broke down...though it wasn't actually mine; an uncle brought it over and left it in my house and I adopted it! Sad Sadly the same wallpaper looks no where near as glorious on windows xp...even with a 12in lcd monitor Wink

This is my desktop.. it changes frecently, but this is what I have now. It is the northen lights, the most beautiful thing in my opinion. when we enter a period of time when the black spots on the sun are facing us, we can look forward to big extraordinary Auroras! I am looking forward.. had to choose this background because the northen lights today and yesterday was/is magnificent.

Compared to mine Norc is positvely spartan and tranquil.
I do envy you getting a view of the northern lights- you have to go the north of Scotland to see it here, I'm too far south sadly.

purple is rare. It depends on what gasses there are in the atmosphere and on what altitude they/it is. I could be out for hours just watching, but my neck starts to hurt after a while and I remember I have to go to school tomorrow xI

The Northern lights are beautiful, but I've only ever seen the green ones myself (I don't think the other colors like it as far south as Sør-Trøndelag Sad). I am slightly more fond of the midnight sun, however. That, in my opinion, is magic Smile

The pruple colour is very rare, but certainly amazing, so no wonder u haven't seen it. I've only seen it once! The midnight sun is also great Wink u kind of forget time:D which is good if ur planning on being awake all night. A decent thing to give us after several months with no sun and just a few hours of daylight Wink we just saw the sun again a few days ago, haven't seen her since the beginning of november.

the trolls wander south when summer hits up north Wink

That's beautiful! Very Happy I wish I could see the Northern Lights but I'm so far south of the entire UK, much less northern Scotland or Norway, that that's not going to happen unless I move or go on vacation at the right time. Razz
