Re: Pets, pets, glorious pets!
{{ So sorry to hear that Azriel, I know how hard it is to lose a beloved pet. But at 16 she lived a full and happy life thanks to you and didnt have to suffer at its ending either. Be sad at the loss but happy at the memories, proud of having cared for her and to have been a good thing in her life. }}

Thank you Petty. Shame cancer seems to be the main cause with pets ? I do believe that you must stay with your pet & just chat as tho nothing is happening, its your last chance for a cuddle. Give it a few mins after then you can howl your head off Im lucky Ive found a lovely vet that actually cares for pets rather than caring for the paid Bills.

I think the fact that they can't talk really brings out their personalities. That's why they stick with you: you see them more clearly when not obscured by a haze of language and abstract meaning.

You could be right Halfy, tho I feel so guilty if I cant see the signs that an animal is in pain or suffering ? its those times you wish they could talk ! Like toothache. Cats seem to have a high tolerance of pain, me, Im a pain coward. My 1st cat must have had toothache but never let on. He ate ok, drank ok, washed himself etc ok. Just a routine check up revealed he had bad teeth & they were whipped out, came home all gummy
