Almost an hour late, too. (I always lose concentration and leglect my Motherly duties after the third bottle or so! No discipline! None at all! If only if I had a Real Man around the house... An Orwell type, perhaps... Oh well, wine does wonderfully ease the pain, and my Baby is a bit of one too, a pain that is... if only I could control her - Mmm... I wonder where I put that other bottle? Oh goodness me! Is that a pig asleep on the floor!!! )

A guinea pig, Petty, a guinea pig.
Not your conventional rolling-in-the-mud-on-a-farm pig.
She's called Primrose, and we've had almost four years with her. (She was an early birthday present from when I was nine ) And yes, we did follow the instructions and get two, as you're supposed to, but last month the other one, (Poppy) went and died. (It ruined my mood for the whole of the week ) We buried her next to the berry bushes in our garden xxx
But Primrose seems madder than ever now. She'll do the things that Poppy used to do, like run round and round the cage for no reason, and everytime she goes round, she scuttles back into the house thing. Then comes back out and does it again. It's quite fiunny to watch.
Oh, and "Pseudo-Kafria" I'm not a baby, I'm almost a teenager thanks! AND, I'm not your baby! I my real mummy!

That's the same thing the McTyrtants did, back in 1402, before the McBankses (partially) domesticated them - or so Odo tells me!

I used to have pets but can't afford them right now. I've had - at different times for all - two dogs and a kitty.

Awww! I really want a doggy but we can't because we're 'not home enough'
But Primrose is nice and cuddly too. Just not as big or woofy.

Re: Pets, pets, glorious pets!
This is Momo. She's a mix, half Chihuahua and half Toy Fox Terrier. I wasn't able to have pets for a long time and this is my first dog. We do everything together & I love her to death.
This is the very originally named 'Birdy'. He's a Parrotlet (miniature parrot) & a handfull I'll tell ya.
This is Bear no. B10407. He isn't a pet, but I am afraid to tell him.

your dog Momo is a cutie. How come you got a bear in your garden? I always forget there are wild bears in the US and Canada, we have them in Europe too but you never see them and there arent many.

Your bear looks cuddly ^^
I've had three rats, named Bonny, Snorre and Herman. Bonny was epileptic, freaked us out when we found out. they're all dead now. don't live very long, rats. I've also have had a rabbit, but I gave him away, they live longer and suddenly school cought up with me and then we've had a turtle named Batman (he had the marking on his shell) for 17 years, but then he died. so, now, we have two dogs

Momo's a real sweetie too. All love and play. Except at meals.
This bear was a habitual trash scavenger, and we were on it's regular route. I don't put trash out till a few hours before they pick it up, but it knew the trash bins were in the garage and has no problem coming in to get them. (The problem is that some neighbors do leave their trash out). What was unusual was it was scavenging during the day and so found the garage door open. It almost always came thru at night when I keep things buttoned up. Normally Black bears are quite shy and non-agressive. This one was not agressive but had lost his shyness about approaching human habitations. From behind a screen door (with the main door ready to close) I was able to shoo it away, but it only left reluctantly. I like bears, and in their faces see an unfathomable intelligence, though I always try to make regular noise when out and about because they are very intimidating and I am very nervous when I see them 'in person'.

sorry, I forgot to say who the dog was It's Leopold and he's a briard, a french herding dog. He is big but he thinks he's a small lapdog xI
Re: Pets, pets, glorious pets!
I've got three cats; Snowthunder, Bob, and Jack. All three were strays that came up to our sliding glass door. Snowthunder and Bob are (half) siblings, Snowthunder the older, and Bob (who is a FEMALE) the younger. We were giving food to their mother, and she brought her kittens to us, both of them had no litter mates. Eventually, their mom died we think, but they kept coming around. Now, they're regular house cats Jack, formerly One-eyed Jack, is a different story. He showed up one 4th of July, one of his pupils dialted, the other a thin slit, hence the name. After that, he wouldn't leave us alone. He always tried to run inside the house, he got beat up all the time, he was sickly and mangy. He was literally dying before our eyes. So we took him to the vet, and got him fixed. He has a permanent respitory issue that manifests itself in the form of rapid fire sneezes that continue for 30 seconds straight! He forced his way into our home, and I'm not too pleased about it, neither are his cat-mates! But he's cuddly and friendly, so that makes up for how annoying and dumb he is

It may have something to do with Natural Selection. See, back in cave person days the clever and active cavemen (and Tom Caveboys) would all rush out when a Wooley Mammoth, was spotted. But there was always a few who hung back for various reasons.
"Where's my spear ? Who's seen my spear ?"
"If it was up your arse you'd know it!"
"I am not feeling well. I think the Brontosaurus was off."
Etc, etc
So while the some of the others who'd run off were sometimes injured or killed, those who tended not to leave the cave survived more often and had better calorie retention for lean times.

Not sure I understand. But Biffo Banks sure looks the part.
Btw, you may have heard there is a actual plan to clone a Wooly Mammoth. A Korean-Russian effort, if I remember correctly, using material extracted from from frozen Mammoth cells and modern elephants.
But I am a bit nervous about this type of project. Most of me is very excited and would love to see extinct creatures brought back. While it may be fairly safe with recent, mostly man caused extinctions, say like the Passenger pidgeon (cause you can never have too much bird poop on your car), I worry what else might be introduced unintentionally.
Sign up here to put yourself on the waiting list for a Wooly Mammoth.
