Re: New C.S Lewis Movie
Ooh! Saw a glimpse of Phantastes in the trailer. I read it at too young of an age to appreciate what it is, but MacDonald's The Princess and the Goblin I read at the perfect time.
Anyway, love me some C. S. Lewis.

And now there was nothing but the roofs of houses, sweeping along like a great torrent of stones and rocks. Chimney-pots fell, and tiles flew from the roofs..."

A new thread!
Though I like CS Lewis' writing style, I feel the same critique that Tolkien had: the religious component is a bit too obvious and pulls you out of the story. Wouldn't take too much to fix it though: get rid of the "son of Adam/daughter of Eve" bit, for instance. It's only the more glaring statements that need to be buffed out.

Re: New C.S Lewis Movie
Many screenwriters in Hollywood share that sentiment I'm sure.

By the looks of it the movie is more about Lewis than Narnia. Of course, the two are linked and no doubt Narni will be a part of it. I let you know after I get a chance to watch it.
